Our chosen charity

Our chosen charity for 2016/17 is ‘The Project’. Following various discussions and feedback from members Lisa and Mary are committed to raising funds for this charity that is supporting and improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people, age 12-24, as well as providing support to the parents and carers of young people experiencing mental distress. Furleigh Wine tasting at Fairwater Head Hotel

A beautiful spring evening was spent learning all about wines from Furleigh Wine Estate. We were joined by partners and heard about the history and future plans for this local vineyard from the owner Rebecca Hansford. Our wonderful hosts at The Fairwater Head Hotel in Hawkchurch provided some canapés to accompany the tasting of 3 wines before we enjoyed supper. It was a fabulous setting and the wines were divine.
