When I met new Premium Member Lisa Fifer from Red + Ginger for our initial meeting I was blown away by the beautiful hand crafted dog accessories and clothing and very impressed that it is all made from pre-loved, vintage and recycled materials. We discussed the best way to promote her business via LBL and what started as a small event grew into a bigger idea of inviting other dog loving businesses to network and also to raise funds for a local charity – Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
We met at dog-friendly pub The Nags Head in Lyme Regis. We invited other LBL’s to join us and were delighted to have a local dog trainer, dog sitters, walkers and groomers alongside dog portrait artists and clay paw prints. We were also joined by Ferne Animal Sanctuary who told us about the charity. Did you know you can go along for a visit? It’s a great day out and they have a cafe. All the businesses donated to attend and the pub kindly offered the proceeds from refreshment sales to the pot. Overall we raised over £60 and 4 people signed up to make regular donations.
