We had a wonderful morning at Ferne Animal Sanctuary. It really is what it says a sanctuary set in a stunning location.
First we went to the visitors centre and their function room where we had tea, coffee and delicious homemade scones from the cafe. The ladies from Ferne gave a really interesting talk on how the charity started, what they do and how they fundraise. They told us about the scheme to become a friend of Ferne and donate £3pm which a few of us signed up for.
We then had a 45 minute tour but we easily needed another couple of hours!
I won’t tell you much more but encourage you to go and visit yourself and take a look at the events they have coming up too.
