Wednesday 3rd May was the second meeting for Lyme Bay ladies networking in Exeter at our new venue.  Daily Bowl (next door to Central Station) has a warm and friendly environment, and we all enjoyed the most delicious coffees and hot drinks as well as purchasing a few treats to take home!

“You know that it’s been a great networking event when the spectacular and lively chatter of the group makes it worthwhile. The network was buzzing, and our lovely Lyme Bay Ladies were getting to know new members and reconnecting with existing friends. Even compared to our last networking event (which was lively) this has gone up a notch, as new business opportunities are discussed and people converge with ideas and support!

One of the key ideas was to build up more presence in Exeter. Yamini suggested that Exeter isn’t perhaps perceived as part of Lyme Bay… despite the area of Lyme Bay stretching from Portland in Dorset all round to Start Point (by Plymouth!).  So – one idea is for us to all post more on the group, and to give more of an Exeter buzz to the networking.

A number of ladies were talking about various events in and around the Exeter and Exmouth areas, so do watch this space! And, right now we’re only meeting in Exeter every two months – perhaps we could ramp that up and meet monthly? It’s just an idea, and we’d love to hear what you think. Will you come along and support us? It would be lovely to see even more people at this fabulous venue.

I have to pass on special thanks to Herman and the team at Daily Bowl for helping me when I discovered my car had been damaged. With no idea what else to do – I headed back to the Daily Bowl, who were sooooo helpful. Herman (Annie’s partner) let me use his laptop and I loved watching this delightful nurturing space unfold after lunch time – with locals coming and going, games of dominoes and laughter. It felt like a tiny haven of hope and help. Thank you Herman, Annie, Daphne and the whole crowd at the Daily Bowl!

Despite all that palaver I’d still say I had a fabulous morning of networking! I’m so looking forward to the next Lyme Bay Ladies networking in Exeter – to be held on the 5th July.

Everyone welcome – look out for the booking links on Facebook or the LBL website.
