Wednesday 5th July saw nine of us gathering at Daily Bowl (just alongside Exeter Central station) to enjoy their delicious coffees, to share and to connect. Whilst that seems like a small number – actually it led to a really deep connection for most of us, sharing stories and opportunities together.
The conversation even got round to the idea of not calling it networking (I KNOW!!!) but to call it gathering and connecting instead… in fact it reminded me of a matrix I created a while back, and because it was so relevant today, I’ve just recreated on Canva and attached as a photo below.
So, what was remarkable about today was, for me, that real depth of conversation and connection.
I’d invited a friend Carolyn because I knew how valuable she’d find the whole meeting and she told me afterwards that she’d found it really energising, supporting and uplifting. This pretty much echoed the whole sentiment in the room and it just shows that there’s such a richness and value in a small group.
Now, having said all that, there’s also a benefit in meeting new people (so long as they are lovely of course!). Therefore, the challenge (should you wish to accept it) is for everyone to bring a friend to a future meeting. Let’s also aim to keep the delightful energy we have. But if we can all bring along someone who will enjoy a nurturing female experience, then that’s great news all round.
Have a fabulous summer everyone.
Here’s to our next meeting on 6th September. Book it up now (and remember to bring a friend… or just come along and make a friend!)
Everyone welcome – look out for the booking links on Facebook or the LBL website.
