One year after Lisa set up LBL, we came together to celebrate all the wonderful things that have been achieved.
We had a Moroccan feast from Devon Kitchen Deli – Emma and Lesley provided a very delicious spread. For those of us with a sweet tooth we had the most amazing cake decorated and made by Cathryn from Icing Occasions. Music was provided by Mark Foxhall and then a very popular playlist including lots of old favourites. This provided the opportunity for many to dance the night away!
We had a raffle with prizes from Furleigh Wine Estate, Hix Oyster & Fish House and Devon Kitchen Deli and we raised £210 for our chosen local charity The Project.
There were several ladies who came who have been members since the beginning but also some who came along on the evening not knowing anyone. All welcomed each other and the buzz and laughter was evident all evening. Socially it was a success but also a lot of business networking was happening and we have heard stories of women supporting each other and businesses growing on the back of contacts made.
