A brilliant breakfast in #Exeter, as usual, with 11 members attending. 3 of you were new to the scene, so it would be lovely to hear further what you think of our networking. Because Lyme Bay Ladies is certainly networking with a difference. Of course we aim to support each other in our businesses, but we are also all about supporting the PERSON! And that means taking time to understand each other.
Today’s open conversation was around – “what theme do you want to hold for 2024”. A lighter touch than the usual “what are your new year goals?” – in fact I don’t think a single goal was mentioned as such.
And the resulting responses included …. Going forth into 2024, without having to hold a sword in defence or to fight my way…. surrendering to possibility… allowing the world to unfold around me… taking time for ME, to heal and be whole again… Taking the pressure off myself by allowing myself flexibility around my intentions…. Keeping a gratitude journal/jar/attitude – when I want, not because I have to.
Yes – this was a very different, calm and collected energy. I like to think it’s the fundamental energy of Lyme Bay Ladies generally. We don’t just drive business conversation, we do listen to each other, and the conversation goes in many directions.
Because, mostly, it feels to me, that today the Lyme Bay theme is “Working (if you choose to) to Live. And not sacrificing life for money”. And also, it was clear that people are wanting to “be vibrantly alive for the quality moment, not projecting on a far-distant promise that may never happen”.
Much richness in conversation, and much learning in sharing. And, much warmth in the hearts of the lovely ladies who came along. Thank you all.
Let’s do it all again in March! And here’s to keeping that precious nurturing vibe too 😊
Newbies are super-welcome. If you would like to try us out, then just buy your ticket for £12.50, and when you realise how lovely we are, book your membership and come along for a £7.50 instead. Delicious hot drink included.
