At the monthly Axminster & Lyme LBL Connect meeting at Ria’s Workshop & Space , I was delighted to have been able to share some of my work, in particular my new workshop Be Alive, with such a wonderful group of women.

We are all so busy living our lives, that we often forget how to truly ‘be alive’.  I was able to provide the ladies with an overview of what my one-day in-person workshop is all about:

  • BE – what is the legacy you want to leave behind and with this in mind, who and how do you need to be
  • About time – how are you currently spending your time and how do you really want to be spending your time
  • Letting go – knowing that with any change, whether that’s in business, career, personal or relationships, there are going to be things you need to let go of – some that you want to, and some you might not!
  • Identity – rediscovering who you are, without the roles and labels that we have had over the years
  • Vitality – making sure you have the tools to live well, and be full of vitality so you can make the most of every day
  • Envisage – spend time envisaging your future so it aligns with your values, the things that are important to you, pull it into a plan of action and finish up with reflections and celebrations

It’s a full-on day. Which is why I just shared a quick overview! 

But what we did do as a group, was a deeper dive into one part of the workshop – Vitality.

This element of the workshop looks at the pillars we need to build those strong foundations so that we can thrive – whether that’s day to day, building confidence, or through change.  The 6 pillars are: Sleep; Food & Drink; Exercise; Routine/flexibility; Emotional Wellbeing; Connection. 

When we build an awareness into what are the smaller things that we need to keep each of our pillars strong and level, we can put strategies in place to stop the domino effect when life throws us curve balls.  And we can keep the pillars strong so that we can make sure that we don’t just live, we live our lives fully and well, now and into the future.
