This event was the result of a collaboration between Lisa (LBL), Rachel (LSi in Bridport) and Premium Member Joey Clarkson. On Weds the 19th of July, after several weeks of planning, we came together in Bridport for informal networking and inspiring speakers.
Over 20 local ladies connected over coffee in the wonderful space at the LSi in Bridport. The room was filled with conversation and laughter from ladies making new connections or catching up with old friends.
We then gathered in one of the LSi Meeting Rooms to hear from our hosts:
Lisa Eastwood – Lyme Bay Ladies – Why Networking in Important
Joey Clarkson – Take Control of Your Social Media
Joey shared with us the common mistakes people make when posting about their business online and how with the right planning we may never love doing our social media but it can be less painful! She is currently gearing up for an exciting year of monthly workshops with Bridport LSi and Lyme Bay Ladies, to help empower women in business to feel more confident and comfortable online. The first one is on the 9th August – find out more HERE and LBL’s get 25% discount with a valid membership card!
Rachel Dunford – LSi – Imposter Syndrome
“Over 20 women working in Dorset gathered at the coworking hub ‘LSi, Bridport’ for a morning of connecting, collaborating, listening and contributing. There were women who have established businesses, women who were just starting out and others who were thinking about taking the plunge!
Most importantly, we came together in support of each other, to champion the amazing businesses in our county and grow as a community.”

‘The Women in Business networking event was a buzzing, collaborative, and positive experience. It was inspiring to talk to fellow women in business and hear about their journeys, triumphs, and struggles they have faced. I was honoured to be a speaker at such a fantastic event and to be a part of something so inspirational for working women in our community.”
There was a small ticket price to cover costs and also to raise money for our chosen charity – Survivor to Thriver Contribution Club – and I am delighted to say we raised just over £50. If you would like to join the club to help local people in need you can sign up to pay £1pm – see bank details in the photo’s below.
Thank you to everyone involved and look out for future collaborations.
