Mary is a mindset Life Coach & meditation teacher who helps women in midlife to navigate the often turbulent waters that this stage of life throws up using a combination of mindfulness, mindset coaching, visualisation & of course a hearty dose of laughter to banish those midlife blahs and create more fun & pleasure in your life.

Hands up who hasn’t experienced the dreaded Blahs or as I call it the CBA (can’t be arsed) where you feel like your zest for life has fizzled away and your inner flame is more damp than dazzling.

Evenings & weekends might see you not wanting to do anything that doesn’t involve your bum on a sofa wearing leggings, and while a dose of that every now and then won’t do you any harm it’s best to not let it take root and become too much of a habit because believe or not there’s fun to be had out there!

Did you know that our brains produce 10’s of thousands of thoughts every day and most of it is rubbish and what I call fake news? Take for example you are getting dressed and you catch sight of yourself in the mirror and you think ‘I’m xyz’ – whatever that xyz was is a thought, an opinion, it’s not fact yet we readily accept it as fact then wonder why we feel bad about ourselves.

The ‘I’m too old’ & ‘it’s too late’ are common midlife joy stealer thoughts but the good news is that we don’t have to believe them!

The problem is that we simply accept most of these thoughts as fact – especially the ones that say negative things about us because that is how our human brains evolved to keep us safe.

The coaching style I practice is based on cognitive behavioural phycology and I will teach you how the thoughts we think affect our emotions and behaviours and ultimately impact the results we create in our lives.

You will learn how to know when your brain is offering you fake news about yourself or your situation and how to quickly do your own fact checking using a simple tool to weed out those pesky thoughts & beliefs that interfere with you living a life you enjoy.

We’ll do an exercise together that will be your handy take home checklist to to remind yourself of the things you need to have in your life to have you feeling lit up and zesty again, things like connection, community, movement, nourishment, music etc.

You will come away from this workshop feeling revived and positive about being able to create enjoyment in your life straight away.
