What a fabulous morning we had at Axminster Country Market
This market is on every Thursday from 8:30am – 12pm in the Masonic Hall on South Street. Small local producers and home cooks sell a wide variety of seasonal and tasty food alongside gifts and crafts. You will find savoury food/meals, cakes and desserts of all descriptions, jams & chutneys, fresh eggs, vegetables, fruit, flowers, jewellery, cards, crafts, gifts and art.
You can wander around and fill your basket, stop for a cuppa and cake and then pay on your way out.
On a busy day things sell fast so it’s best to get there early if you can. You can also talk to the producers if you need something specific and order for the following week.
We were treated to tea & coffee and delicious homemade cakes – thank you Patricia Bruzon. And thank you to Amy Ralph (one of the producers and LBL’s) for inviting us down this morning.
They are always looking for new producers so get in touch. It’s a wonderful, local, community venture that we all need to support. Many LBL’s will be changing the way they shop so look forward to seeing them regularly on a Thurs morning!
