Thank you to all the Lyme Bay Ladies that helped us to raise £215 for Weldmar Hospicecare today at The Big Dorset Cuppa! We set up at The Hub in Lyme Regis with Vintage China courtesy of Mille Fleurs and lots of homemade cakes and scones. Thank you to all those that baked and helped on the day. Bridport thrived in the 18th century and along the main street is there are many grand structures from that time. During that time it had a strong industry making ropes and nets, as well as a nearby port. It was also a stop on the Trafalgar Way. That was the important coaching route from the South West to London and was used to carry dispatches with the news of the Battle of Trafalgar overland from Falmouth to the Admiralty in London. In the centre of Beer there is a gorgeous shop and tearoom called Cinderella’s. Full of beautiful clothes and homeware and they serve amazing coffee & cakes too. Over 30 of us met at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa for a session on Thinking Better for Success from experienced coaches Isabel Knight and Annie Lee. What a buzz there was in the room! Thank you to Clare Mackenney for hosting at Andrewshayes Holiday Park in Dalwood. The park has been developed over the past 50 years and is a family business. With its well developed trees and landscaping, they are proud to be graded a four pennant park by the AA and have held a Gold David Bellamy Award for the past 5 years. We were treated to tea, coffee and a delicious selection of homemade cakes.
